Note on Connection Proﬁle numbering sequence

The Easy Setup Proﬁle is always assumed to be the Primary Connection Proﬁle, whether or not it exists. The

menu console reserves the index number 1 (one) for the Easy Setup Proﬁle, even if you do not create an Easy

Setup Proﬁle.

If you do not create an Easy Setup Proﬁle using the Easy Setup screens, but instead use the WAN Conﬁgura-

tion/Add Connection Proﬁle screen to create a Connection Proﬁle, the menu console will name it Proﬁle 1 by

default (you can rename it anything you want). Nevertheless, the router will always assign such a proﬁle the

index number 2 (two). Proﬁles added subsequently are internally indexed incrementally.

This can be confusing, when issuing CLI commands because it is possible for Proﬁle 1 to be indexed by the

router as the second proﬁle. Proﬁle 2 is indexed as the third, and so on.
